Sule to Wadada: By Your Next Birthday, You’ll Be Nasarawa Governor

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has expressed confidence in Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu’s governorship ambition, declaring that he expects the senator to become the state’s next governor by his 63rd birthday in 2027.

“This is the last birthday you will have not as Excellency. By the next birthday, insha Allah, you will be Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, by the grace of God,” Sule said.

The governor made the remark on Thursday at the Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, during a celebration marking Wadada’s 62nd birthday, attended by political leaders, All Progressives Congress (APC) officials and supporters of the senator.

Sule prayed for Wadada’s long life, good health and success, describing the occasion as significant for the political movement supporting his ambition to succeed him in the 2027 governorship election.

In his response, Wadada thanked the governor for the gesture and commended his administration for what he described as the delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Nasarawa State.

The senator also prayed for Sule’s continued success, expressing his intention to build on the governor’s achievements if elected to lead the state.

“I come in as a product of the best to continue on the pedestal of the best and deliver the best as well,” Wadada said.

The event was attended by APC state chairman Aliyu Bello, party officials, former political office holders and other supporters of the senator.

Sule’s remarks underscored his support for Wadada’s ambition to succeed him as Nasarawa State governor, as political activities  begin to take shape ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
