Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, has urged government appointees and political stakeholders from Lafia Local Government Area to intensify grassroots mobilisation to secure victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Governor Sule noted that Lafia, as the state capital and political nerve centre of Nasarawa South Senatorial District, has a critical role to play in delivering the zone for the APC. He urged the appointees and stakeholders to return to their respective wards and polling units to consolidate support for the party ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The governor gave the charge on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, during a meeting with government appointees and political stakeholders from Lafia LGA, marking the conclusion of his statewide consultation tour across Nasarawa State.

The consultations were aimed at strengthening the APC’s internal cohesion, promoting effective grassroots mobilisation and developing strategies to ensure the party’s success in the 2027 general elections.

Governor Sule urged the participants to put aside personal differences, close ranks and work collectively for the party’s success, stressing that unity, loyalty and a shared commitment to the APC’s objectives were essential to winning elections across all elective positions in the state.

He emphasised the strategic importance of Lafia to the party’s electoral fortunes, noting that the local government area’s position as the state capital placed a significant responsibility on its political leaders and stakeholders to mobilise support at the grassroots.

The governor called on the appointees to demonstrate commitment to the party by strengthening their engagement with constituents and ensuring that APC structures remained active and effective across their respective wards and polling units.

In their responses, the appointees and stakeholders from Lafia LGA commended Governor Sule for his inclusive leadership style and sustained efforts to carry all party members and stakeholders along in the governance and political processes of the state.

They pledged their unwavering loyalty to the governor and the APC, assuring him of their readiness to work together to deliver Lafia Local Government Area for the party in the 2027 general elections.
