2027: If You Truly Love Tinubu, Vote Wadada, All APC Candidates – Gov. Sule Tells Nasarawa Stakeholders

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has urged members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, and all other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

Sule made the call on Tuesday during the inauguration of the Presidential and Nasarawa State Campaign Council Advisory Committee at the Government House, Lafia.

The governor, who is the State Coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Council and Chairman of the State Campaign Council, said supporting Tinubu should also translate into supporting Wadada and other APC candidates across the state.

“If you truly love President Tinubu, you should also vote Wadada for Governor and all APC candidates,” Sule declared.

He said Nasarawa State had no reason to fail to deliver the APC at all levels, considering what he described as the support and resources the Tinubu administration had provided to states and local governments through its reforms.

According to him, the re-election of Tinubu in 2027 would be a way of appreciating the President’s support for Nasarawa State.

Sule also stressed the importance of electing APC members into the State House of Assembly, noting that an APC governor without members of his party in the legislature would have limited capacity to implement his programmes effectively.

“An APC governor without House of Assembly members of his party is half work done. Vote for all APC House of Assembly candidates to enable them work together with Wadada,” he said.

The governor expressed satisfaction with the turnout of party stakeholders at the inauguration, saying their presence demonstrated commitment to the party.

He further disclosed that the Presidential Campaign Council would be in Lafia the following day to present the APC flag to the party’s candidates.

Speaking at the event, the APC governorship candidate, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, thanked members of the campaign council for accepting their appointments and responsibilities.

Wadada said the task ahead was bigger than individual political interests, stressing that the 2027 election was about the people of Nasarawa State.

“The task ahead of us is beyond Wadada, Governor Sule, Faisal, Nalaraba and others, but it is about the people of the state,” he said.

He promised to sustain the legacies of the Sule administration and the APC if elected governor, while assuring party stakeholders of fairness, justice and inclusiveness.

“I am coming to continue with the good legacies of Governor Sule and APC,” Wadada said.

He also appealed to stakeholders and party members to forgive him if he had offended anyone, knowingly or unknowingly, and assured them that nobody should feel intimidated by his personality or political disposition.

In his goodwill message, former National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, prayed for the success of the party in the 2027 general elections and urged stakeholders to support all its candidates.

Similarly, the Nasarawa State APC Chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, commended Governor Sule for what he described as inclusive leadership and developmental efforts across the state.

Bello urged party leaders and members to remain focused and intensify efforts towards the party’s campaign activities ahead of the 2027 elections.

Earlier, the State APC Secretary, Mr. Yairus Dagusa, announced the composition of the campaign council’s Advisory Committee.

According to him, Governor Abdullahi Sule will serve as Chairman, while Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel Akabe and Dr. Aliyu Bello will serve as First and Second Vice Chairmen, respectively.

Former Governor and Senator Abdullahi Adamu was named Deputy Chairman I, while Senator Tanko Al-Makura will serve as Deputy Chairman II. The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, was appointed Deputy Chairman III.

Joseph Attah was named Director-General of the Campaign Council.

In his response, Attah thanked Governor Sule and the APC leadership for the confidence reposed in the council members, pledging their commitment to the campaign assignment.

The inauguration was attended by several political leaders and stakeholders, including Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, Speaker Danladi Jatau, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, APC Deputy Governorship Candidate Emmanuel Ombugadu, Hassan Liman, SAN, and the Federal Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Aliyu Tijani Ahmed.

Others present included former Senator Philip Gyunka, Senator John Danboyi, members of the House of Representatives, Abubakar Nalaraba and Dr. Esther Sam Allu, APC Women Leader, North Central, and ALGON State Chairman, Hon. Safiyanu Isah Andaha, among other party chieftains.
