Gov. Sule Charges Media Practitioners On Objectivity

The Governor of Nasarawa State Abdullahi A. Sule has charged media practitioners in Nasarawa state to always be objective in their reportage. Speaking while hosting members of the NUJ in his office in Lafia, Gov. Sule who stressed the importance of the media in promoting government policies and programmes also commended media practitioners in the state for the role they are playing in educating and informing the people.

The Governor further charged
them to exhibit high sense professionalism and always be objective. He also charged the media to avoid subjective reporting, saying that the media as watchdog of the society, they must report issues that unites the people against issues that divide them. Gov. Sule then promised to support media practitioners in the state to enable them discharge their functions effectively.

Earlier the chairman of the NUJ Comrade Dogo Shammah thanked the Governor for the warm reception he accorded them,adding that the warm reception is a sign of good things to come. The chairman of the NUJ then pledged to patner with the government in the interest of the state.
