Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu today Monday, flagged off the reconstruction and construction of key educational infrastructure projects across Karu and Kokona Local Government Areas of Nasarawa State, in a move aimed at improving access to quality education in the region.
The projects include the reconstruction of a block of five classrooms and a science laboratory at Government Secondary School, Mararaba Gurku in Karu LGA. Also underway is the construction of a block of three classrooms with an office at Takalafiya Dansa, also in Karu LGA, as well as another block of three classrooms at LEA Primary School, Bakin Ayini in Kokona LGA.
Speaking during the flag-off ceremony, Senator Wadada Aliyu emphasized that the initiative reflects his commitment to strengthening learning environments and expanding educational opportunities across communities in the Nasarawa Western Senatorial District.
The event attracted several dignitaries, including the Honourable Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Nasarawa State, Barrister Isaac Danladi, as well as the Executive Chairmen of Karu and Keffi Local Government Areas.
The projects are being executed in collaboration with the Bank of Industry (BOI), underscoring a partnership aimed at delivering impactful development in the education sector.
Also present at the ceremony were members of the senator’s Campaign Council, alongside All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmen from Karu and Kokona Local Government Areas.
Residents and stakeholders have expressed optimism that the projects, once completed, will significantly enhance teaching and learning conditions in the benefiting schools.
