In a renewed wave of political alignment within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, the Lafia local government political appointees under the administration of Governor Abdullahi A. Sule have expressed full readiness to implement the governor’s directive ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The appointees from Lafia Local Government reportedly pledged their commitment to deliver Governor Sule’s preferred successor, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, as the APC governorship candidate.
In a related development, the Forum of Deputy Chairmen, Speakers, Administrators, and Councillors representing 147 wards across Nasarawa State also publicly declared their support for Senator Wadada. The group described him as the preferred choice of Governor Sule for the APC governorship ticket ahead of the next election.
The forum emphasized its unity under what it described as the “APC agenda,” reiterating loyalty to the party and alignment with what it termed the “Muje maha concept,” a phrase they said reflects their collective political direction and grassroots mobilization strategy.
Stakeholders within the group maintained that their focus remains on consolidating support structures across wards and local governments to ensure a seamless transition of leadership in the state.
