Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has declared that he proudly belongs to the Osana Palace, stressing that the palace is part of the historic Kwararafa Kingdom and deeply connected to his maternal lineage, as his blood mother was from Agatu, which he described as one and the same with the Alago people.
The senator made the remarks during a visit to the Osana Palace where he sought royal blessings and support towards actualising his aspiration of governing the state.
Speaking during the visit, the senator appealed to the Osana to shower praises on Governor Abdullahi Sule for anointing him as his preferred successor. He also requested the traditional ruler to commend all those who stepped aside for him during the process, saying he remained indebted to them and would repay their sacrifices.
He recalled the consultations and political processes that led to his emergence, singling out Nalaraba for special appreciation for stepping aside despite not being from the Western Zone.
According to him, the gesture demonstrated commitment to unity and the collective interest of the state above personal ambition.
The senator further stated that his late father had strong ties with the Osana Palace, noting that the palace had always supported him throughout his political journey. He assured the traditional institution that if elected governor, he would not disappoint the Osana or the people of the state.
On the issue of oil prospecting in the area, the senator promised to investigate the reasons behind the stoppage of work and ensure that necessary steps were taken to revive the activities.
He also pledged to explore the salt potentials of Keana as part of efforts to boost economic opportunities in the area.
The senator offered prayers for the late Hakimi Keana, describing him as a respected traditional figure whose contributions would continue to be remembered.
While responding to Senator Wadada’s remarks, the Osana of Keana Alh. Abdullahi Agbo Omegwa advised Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada to always remain patient in life.
He noted that there is nothing more important in life than patience. He said patience is the key to success in life.
Meanwhile, before leaving the Osana’s palace, Senator Wadada donated a Sharon bus, motorcycles, and cash worth ₦20 million to various groups in the area.
