Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu on Monday continued his ongoing consultation tour with a courtesy visit to the palace of Zhe Migili, where he called on residents to uphold respect for elders and constituted authority as a foundation for peace and development.
Addressing community members and traditional title holders at the palace, Wadada referenced several biblical injunctions to emphasize the importance of obedience and respect for leaders, particularly those entrusted with positions of authority.
The senator stated that respecting the wishes and leadership of Engr. Sule was an act of respecting constituted authority, noting that his emergence and anointment were divinely ordained.
According to Wadada, leadership should be seen as a responsibility guided by God, urging the people of Jenkwe and the larger community to rally behind leaders working for unity and progress.
He further assured the people that his administration would pursue an inclusive style of governance that accommodates all groups regardless of religion or ethnicity.
“I will run an inclusive government that respects religious and ethnic diversity. Every community will have a sense of belonging,” Wadada said.
The senator also appealed to the people to remain united and confident in the leadership process, stressing that peace, cooperation, and mutual respect remain essential for sustainable development.
In his response, the Zhe Migili, welcomed Senator Wadada to his palace and commended the visit as a demonstration of respect for traditional institutions and community leadership.
The royal father assured the senator that his subjects would continue to respect leaders and constituted authority while maintaining peace and harmony within the community.
The visit formed part of Senator Wadada’s ongoing consultations and engagements with stakeholders across the
Southern senatorial zone.
