Momentum behind the 2027 governorship aspiration of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada is gathering significant strength across Nasarawa State as the Amalgamated Union Association on Tuesday staged a massive endorsement rally in Lafia in support of his bid to succeed Governor Abdullahi A. Sule.
The rally, held at Ta’al Conference Hotel along Jos Road in Lafia, drew political stakeholders, youth groups, women associations, loyal supporters, and party faithful from different parts of the state who converged to declare support for the senator.
Participants at the event described Senator Wadada as a tested, experienced, and people-oriented leader with a strong grassroots connection and a proven political track record capable of sustaining the state’s development trajectory beyond 2027.
Speakers at the gathering said the endorsement reflected the collective desire of the people for continuity, unity, political stability, and sustained development in Nasarawa State. They stressed that Wadada’s loyalty, humility, and relationship with the grassroots positioned him as a credible leader to take the state to greater heights.
The association also commended Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for what they described as purposeful leadership and remarkable developmental achievements across the state. According to them, the governor has laid solid foundations in infrastructure, peace, economic growth, and inclusive governance.
They further praised Sule for mentoring and nurturing competent leaders capable of consolidating on the gains of his administration after the expiration of his tenure in 2027.
The rally featured goodwill messages, solidarity songs, chants, and prayers for the continued peace and political advancement of Nasarawa State.
Political observers at the event noted that the endorsement rally may be a strong indication of the growing acceptance of Senator Wadada’s governorship ambition among various groups and stakeholders across the state ahead of the 2027 elections.
