In a continued demonstration of his commitment to youth empowerment, Hon. Ilele Gayam has again distributed 16 motorcycles worth over ₦18 million to selected youths in Lafia as part of his longstanding efforts to improve livelihoods and promote economic self-reliance among young people.
The distribution ceremony, which took place at Hon. Ilele’s residence in Lafia, today, attracted community leaders, supporters, beneficiaries, and members of the Friends Forever Group.
Over the years, Hon. Ilele has consistently supported youths through various empowerment initiatives. The motorcycle distribution marks another milestone in his sustained campaign to create employment opportunities, reduce poverty, and encourage entrepreneurship among young people in Lafia.
Speaking during the event, Alhaji Garba Rosha, a retired Permanent Secretary in the Nasarawa State Civil Service, who conducted the distribution, called on other well-meaning individuals to emulate Hon. Ilele’s generosity and commitment to youth development. He condemned politics driven by primordial sentiments and urged the people of Lafia to rise above selfish political interests.
Also speaking, Hon. Mohammed Zanwa, the APC candidate for Lafia Central, urged the people of Lafia to continue supporting Governor Abdullahi Sule and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the interest of progress and development. He also called on the people to support the candidacy of Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu.
In separate interviews, a cross-section of invited guests commended Hon. Ilele for sustaining the empowerment initiative, describing it as a practical demonstration of his dedication to improving the lives of young people.
The latest empowerment programme further reinforces Hon. Ilele’s reputation as a leader committed to investing in the future of the youth through practical and impactful interventions.
