Wadada Pledges Inclusive Leadership, Rejects Politics of Religion and Ethnicity as Migili Nation Endorse Him

The Nasarawa State APC governorship candidate, Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, has received a major political boost after pledging to provide inclusive leadership and urging the Migili nation to reject divisive politics in order to attract greater development to their communities.
Speaking in response to remarks made by various speakers at the event which was held in Lafia, Senator Wadada expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him. He described their support as proof that “God’s time is the best” and that “the time is ripe.”
He assured the gathering that he had listened carefully to the challenges confronting the Migili people and promised to address them if elected.
“I have listened to the problems on the ground, and they will be solved. Victory belongs to all of us. I am an experienced politician, but not a violent one. I will never compromise my honour and integrity,” he said.
Wadada questioned the basis of the opposition to his governorship aspiration, asking whether his offence was his commitment to championing the cause of Nasarawa State through attracting development projects and creating employment opportunities for its people.
He also outlined his HEART Agenda, which he said would focus on delivering more development across the state. He commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for raising the standard of governance in Nasarawa State and pledged to consolidate the achievements of the current administration.
“I have a proven record of driving development,” he stated.
Earlier, leaders of the Migili APC Grassroots Mobilizers and elders declared their total support for Wadada, describing him as an accessible leader who is always available to the people.
The Chairman of Obi Local Government Area, Hon. Isa Mohammed Sani, urged all wards across Migili land to rally behind Wadada’s aspiration, insisting that the 2027 governorship election should not be determined by religion or ethnicity.
He argued that politics is about strategy, vision, and calculation rather than ethnic or religious considerations. He cited the election of former United States President Barack Obama as an example that leadership should not be defined by ethnicity.
He expressed confidence that Wadada would emerge victorious and be sworn in as Governor of Nasarawa State in 2027.
In his remarks, Hon. David Ayuwa announced that, after years of aligning with the opposition, the Migili nation had resolved to support the APC governorship candidate.
According to him, all the votes from Obi II would go to Wadada, stressing that nothing would change their collective decision to support the senator.
Ayuwa maintained that no one could frustrate what God had destined and warned the Migili people against allowing religion and ethnicity to divide them.
Also speaking, Senator Salihu Egyegbola urged the Migili nation to reject divisive politics, insisting that anyone relying on ethnic sentiments would fail.
He commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for supporting Wadada’s governorship aspiration, describing the governor’s decision as the right one.
He called on the people to unite behind the APC governorship candidate, stressing that Nasarawa State’s progress would be better served through issue-based politics rather than ethnic or religious divisions.
